My name is Lilac Sheer. I am a singer/songwriter, actress, and also a vocal coach. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been living and breathing music. I love to write songs, compose them in my imagination or on my guitar, and sing my or any other song for that matter at any given chance. I love singing; music is my life. I started developing my voice when I was 16 with Bulgarian maestro Daniel Amarillio, a veteran graduate of the prestigious Julliard music academy in New York.
I studied with Amarillio for four years, practicing the “Bel Canto” technique, the beautiful Italian singing style that developed between the 16th and 19th centuries. Though the style in itself is classical, the technique is applicable to all music genres and singing styles. I myself had practiced Bel Canto through singing rock, R&B, and jazz music. With my being a yoga, meditation, and Pilates instructor, I am able to combine my knowledge of traditional Bel Canto with a wider approach to circular breathing and the human anatomy, thus creating my own new and improved technique for vocal training.
These days, I am performing my original music in clubs around Israel. The lyrics are both in English and Hebrew, with a music style that ranges between American rock and Irish folk music. In the near future, I plan to release my first single and music video and begin working on my first album.
